Why We Exist
I started Coastal Estate Planning & Elder Law with one person in mind: my grandmother, Diane Gup.
My grandmother was brilliant and accomplished. She was a business owner, community leader, and one of the smartest and most sophisticated women I have ever known. She expected excellence, but believed people should always be treated with kindness and dignity. She taught me that excellence and graciousness belong together. Her example inspires the standard we strive to uphold every day.
When I became an estate planning and elder law attorney, I realized too many law firms don't reflect those values. Too often, law firms feel intimidating, impersonal, and focused on documents rather than people and solutions.
I wanted to create something different.
I am creating the law firm my grandmother would have chosen for herself. A firm where exceptional legal counsel is paired with extraordinary service. A firm that is welcoming instead of intimidating, beautiful instead of sterile, and focused on helping families feel cared for, understood, and protected.
